Your neighborhood service fees may go up or down Residents in eight districts (48th & Chicago, Central Avenue, Dinkytown, Eat Street, Linden Hills, Lowry Hill, Stadium Village, Uptown) will vote on what services their district pays for and how much to charge in 2027.
Districts shape what local services get funded and who pays These eight special districts fund neighborhood improvements like street cleaning, landscaping, and safety programs; the final budget choices shape which areas get more or less money for local upkeep.
Some residents may not attend or understand the options If turnout at the October 8 hearing is low, the voices heard may not represent all residents in each district, and complex fee structures can be hard for some people to follow.
Passage of Resolution approving the 2027operating plans, special services, cost estimates, service charges, and the lists of 2027service charges for the 48th & Chicago, Central Avenue, Dinkytown, Eat Street, Linden Hills, Lowry Hill, Stadium Village, and Uptown Special Service Districts (Non-428A Districts), and authorizing the Department of Public Works to proceed with the work.
